Terms
- Due to the nature of the business and weather conditions we do not gaurantee any shipping dates.
- You may not leave anything in your car if using RORO service only the spare wheel and jack.
- Please note that customs can detain a car for an inspection/ drug search, this is random so if they stop your car you will need to pay inspection fee’s and storage of around R1800, unfortunately this is SA customs and we do not have a say. We will only have one car in every 200 stopped so the likelihood is slim that your car will be stopped.
- Remove all CD Faces and satnav equipment.
- Duty free must be applied for at a customs office at least 7 days before your car arrives to enable the clearing agent to clear the car with in the alocated 3 days. Please make sure you have all this info before you leave the UK. It is up to the registered keeper to apply for the duty free.
- If your container is stopped by customs in SA and extra storage costs are applicable, neither cars4africa or George Baker shipping will be liable for these costs. Storage costs are R750 per day.
